Midwest Lacrosse League – Code of Conduct

The Midwest Lacrosse League (MLL) is committed to fostering a respectful, safe, and sportsmanlike environment for all participants. This Code of Conduct applies to players, coaches, parents, officials, and spectators involved in our league.


For Players

  • Treat teammates, opponents, referees, and coaches with respect.

  • Play fairly and by the rules at all times.

  • Demonstrate good sportsmanship, regardless of the game’s outcome.

  • Represent your team and the league with pride and integrity.

  • Always prioritize safety—yours and others’.


For Coaches

  • Serve as positive role models and mentors to all players.

  • Promote teamwork, discipline, and a love for the game.

  • Communicate clearly, calmly, and constructively.

  • Emphasize development, effort, and sportsmanship over winning.

  • Ensure a safe and inclusive environment for every athlete.


For Parents & Guardians

  • Support all players and coaches in a positive way.

  • Avoid shouting instructions from the sidelines.

  • Show respect to referees, opponents, and other families.

  • Encourage effort, improvement, and teamwork.

  • Keep the game fun and pressure-free.


For Spectators

  • Cheer respectfully and responsibly.

  • Refrain from using foul language or aggressive behavior.

  • Respect all participants on and off the field.

  • Help create a welcoming, family-friendly environment.


Enforcement

Violations of this Code of Conduct may result in removal from games, suspension, or dismissal from league activities. The MLL reserves the right to take appropriate action to uphold these standards.
